Plot Summary

The 'Swordsmith Village Arc' of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba continues the gripping journey of Tanjiro Kamado, a young man who joins the Demon Slayer Corps to hunt down the demon responsible for murdering his family and turning his sister, Nezuko, into a demon. Following the intense events of the Entertainment District Arc, Tanjiro is gravely injured and travels to the secret Swordsmith Village to get a new Nichirin Sword, as his previous one was severely damaged. This village is the secluded, sacred home of the swordsmiths who forge the unique weapons essential for demon slayers. While recovering and waiting for his sword, he encounters two powerful figures: the Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji, and the Mist Hashira, Muichiro Tokito, both high-ranking members of the Demon Slayer Corps. The peace of the village is shattered when it is suddenly attacked by two of the Upper Rank demons, Hantengu (Upper Rank Four) and Gyokko (Upper Rank Five), under the direct command of the main antagonist, Muzan Kibutsuji. The battle for the village is a desperate, multi-front war, forcing Tanjiro, Nezuko, and the two Hashira to fight for the lives of the villagers and the crucial secret of the village’s location.
