Plot Summary
Following a 25-year stint in prison, New York mafia capo Dwight 'The General' Manfredi, played by Sylvester Stallone in his first starring role in a scripted TV series, is unexpectedly exiled by his boss to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Instead of accepting a quiet retirement or a small-time operation, the old-school gangster quickly realizes his New York family has seemingly abandoned him. Determined to carve out a new empire far from the prying eyes of the East Coast, Dwight decides to ignore the rules and begins to assemble a new, unlikely crew from a ragtag group of individuals he encounters in Tulsa. His team initially includes his cynical, street-smart driver Tyson Mitchell and the local marijuana dispensary owner, Lawrence 'Bodhi' Geigerman, whom he co-opts for financing. As Dwight attempts to establish a criminal enterprise in this unfamiliar territory, he finds himself navigating the new world of online banking, modern technology, and local criminal threats, primarily the powerful outlaw biker gang 'The Black Macadams.' The series blends crime drama with fish-out-of-water comedy as Dwight applies his traditional, ruthless mafia tactics to a laid-back, modern American city. All the while, he attracts the attention of a curious ATF agent, Stacy Beale, complicating both his professional and personal life. The core of the story is Dwight's struggle to find relevance and build a legacy in a world that has moved on without him, forcing him to adapt his 'General' mindset to the 21st century.
